Stringmaster w/ Nash 400. Best settings?
Do any of you play your Stringmasters through a Nashville 400? I just bought one of these amps from a friend after wanting one for years. I'd be interested in what control settings people have been using with their Fender steels and this Peavey amp.

A Fender Steel through a Peavey Amp?????
Can't be done.
Just kiddin'.
When I tried mine some time ago> The best thing I could come up with was.
Bass 2 o'clock
Mid 7 o'clock(off)
Shift 1 o'clock
Treble 2 o'clock
Pres. 2 o'clock
Now those settings will depend on your volume pedal(what kind) and your blend contol on the neck you are playing and what tuning your playing on that particular neck.
Also; If I still can't get rid of that nasty mid-mud that the Peavey offers; I would actually pull the bright/volume knob out and add a little more bass and trim the treble a number or two.
Hope that helps you some with the kinda sound you actually hear in your head, that you would like to have.
