A good cleaner for pots?
What is a good cleaner to use on the pots of a Nashville 400? I have an older model that sounds like it could use a squirt or two.
I was told to be careful which cleaner I used, depending on whether the pots are wire wound or carbon.
Any advice?

Good advice on the Deoxit D5. Keep it around the studio all the time. Bought Webb amp and all the pots were scratchy, hit each one with deoxit and have had no problems going on 4 years now. Made by company called CAIG........great stuff, comes in aerosol can for about $12-$14 but well worth it.

Believe it or not. Quite a few years back
when I bought a Goodrich volume pedal and had it for a while, it developed a couple of little irritating scratches [my place gets
real dusty, real quick].
So I started re-reading the literature that came with the volume pedal, and Goodrich
says the way to eliminate 'scratching'
was simply to go up and down [or low to high]
about 50-60 times....back and forth, back and forth.......and this should take care of it.
And it did. They may have recommended, also,
NOT using a lubricant on the pot [I'm not 100% on this point, tho].
