BOSS DD-3 WalWart
Yesterday I had to buy a new walwart (AC Adopter) for my BOSS DD-3. I purchased a new one at MARS and when I got home I noticed that the new BOSS Model 120T AC adopter was different than my old BOSS MODEL 120 AC adopter. Here are the differences;
(NEW)- BOSS: PSA 120T - In:120V 60HZ 9W / Out: DC 9.6V 200mA. (Notice the model # changed to a "T")
(OLD)- BOSS: PSA 120 - In:120V 60HZ 8W / OUT: DC 9V 200mA
What's the difference between the (OLD 120) OUT DC 9V and the (NEW 120T) OUT DC 9.6V
Can I use either one, DC 9V or DC 9.6V ?????

I wouldn't think it will matter. I've used a generic Radio Shack 9V on my Boss DD-5 for over 2 years without problems.
Read what Keith wrote about Regulated/Non Regulated.
I suspect the DD-3 is the same as the DD-5 in that it takes an unregulated power supply. The 9.6V vs 9.0V is not really an issue and if you measure the voltage under no load (not plugged into the DD-3) you'll find that both measure a lot more than the "9.6" or "9" volts.

Boss makes a 3 & 6 pedal case with a daisy chain that hooks all the pedala to use on one power supply and that may be why they changed the model of the standard PSA-120. The digital pedals draw more power than the analog pedals. Boss also makes a PSA-100 power supply and you do NOT want to use this with an RV-3 or DD-3,etc.

Thanks Guys for the HELP.
Both MARS & SAM ASH Music stores carries the PSA 120T. I guess (I hope I'm right about his) BOSS did away with the older PSA 120 (I purchased my older BOSS DD-3 & PSA 120 back in 1991 in N.Y.C. ). At Mars they only sell is the 120T, that's what the salesman told me.
The older 1991 manual advises to use a PSA 120. (no additional info ).
The new 2001 manual advised to use a PSA 120 IN: 120 - OUT: 9V 200mA.( thus they are different in what's printed as an instruction).
Where they differ is on the AC adopter( red printed label ) on how they describe the unit in electronic talk.(see first thread on my subject).
I just want to make certain that I don't damage the DD-3 concerning the OUT 9.6V vs the OUT 9V.

NEW INFORMATION:
I just spoke to a sales repre at MUSIC ARTS ENTERPRISE here in Ft Lauderdale and was told that the "T" in PSA 120T stood for, "MADE IN TAIWAN". My older 1991 PSA 120 is made in Japan.
He also told me that the only PSA 120s BOSS ships are the 120Ts and not the PSA 120. BOSS changed the 9V to 9.6V and that the 120Ts are safe to use with the DD-3.
So it looks like this puzzle is solved, MAE, MARS & SAM ASH all sell PSA 120T for the DD-3.
End of hunt for me.
