(session 400) whats it worth?
I seen a session 400 in a music store today that was in pretty good shape, and wondered what it was worth. The speaker has been replaced with a 15 inch fender speaker. They told me it was made by JBL. I can get it for $150.00. It looks like an older amp. Thanks for any help.

I'm moving this topic from "Pedal Steel" to "Electronics".

Fred, I suggest you go down there and get it right away. If it has a JBL speaker in it, the speaker will fetch at least $150.00. I have an old Session 400 that was made in the 70's and it has a JBl. It sounds great! If the pots are dirty you can have someone clean them and it should sound god as new.

Yep, we used a steel guitar speaker made by "JBL for PEAVEY" back in the '70's. It was used in the Session 400's and possibly some of the LTD 400 amps.
The original MSRP of the Session 400 was $679.50. Hope that this helps.
[This message was edited by Mike Brown on 16 October 2000 at 11:53 AM.]
