Session 500, alternate speakers
I have a stock Peavey Session 500 w/ 15" black widow speaker. I was wandering if anyone has preferences/experiences with other speakers. I have (2) JBL d-130 16ohm speakers that are mint (taken from a pair of hi-fi cabinets). I was thinking of trying one. Has anyone used these? I know it is ok per the spec sheet, but causes some power reduction. How about sound difference?

I can't comment directly on a D-130 in a Session 500, However, I was using a Twin with a K130 and then went to a stock Session 500 and the overall frequency response and sound was 100% improved, with the 71 Emmons D-10 (PP) that I was using at the time.
One other thing to consider, the D-130's power handling is not as great as the stock Black Widow.
