Lloyd Hickey's After Hours, Sacramento?

Post by Dayna Wills »

In the early 70's I used to go to Lloyd hickey's club and jam after hours. A couple of the groups there had Jimmy Snyder, and Perry Jones. Anyone hang there back then?

In the 70's I played there with Faron Young in the showroom. The Lagarde twins from Australia were in the other room. The thing I remember most was the piano player in the lounge, I think he knew every song that was ever written. Richard

Boomer and I, in the band "Tex" played the 40 Grand one very long weekend in 1970, with Don Bowman and Terry Stafford (before Amarillo By Morning Image). Some serious card playing went on in that joint.

I had a good buddy Bob Regan who was playing with "David and the Four Skins" in Sac in those days. He's been a successful country songwriter in Nashville since '84.
