I couldn't help but to think... what was George Jones thinking?.. as he was waiting to hear whether or not he won a grammy... while sitting through The Dixie Chicks Earl song?
My favorite performance of the night ( and this is a little off topic) was ... the all kid jazz band... wow ... they blew me away.
This was a group of children jazz musicians.. very talented.
Did you see that 12 year old jazz guitarist burn it up?

I was glad to see that Asleep at the Wheel garnered a couple of awards, but I hated to have to "read" it at the commercial break. I have long thought that the Grammys have way too many categories for the amount of time allotted for the show. I wish they would take the non-muisc (rap) categories and let us "read" about them at the commercial breaks. I always thought the Grammys were about MUSIC, not about bad poetry recited to a drum track!
