My old homemade guitar

Post by Guillaume Rayot »

Hello folks, just to show you my old pedal steel, which I foolishly sold back when I was a student and needed money. It might have been rubbish, but I quite liked it . it weighed a tonne, lol, but it was a proper sturdy instrument. I sent a message to the person I sold it to (for 500 euros) because I’d love to get it back, but I haven’t heard anything back... What do you think of this steel guitar? It was brought back by an American soldier stationed in Germany, but he had to return to the US and left it with a French military doctor, who kept it for 40 years before selling it.

Looks good to me.

Don't recognize the builder's signature on the components, but it appears to be a professionally crafted instrument. Since it came from Germany, perhaps a capable German or other Euro craftsman?

Weight aside, it should be a very nice playing guitar. Hope you get it back.
