Anyone ever seen a changer like this?
Good morning everyone, brand new member here!
I've been a lifelong guitarist, and a few years ago started playing a bit of eight string lap steel, which led to me becoming a bit "pedal curious" so I took a chance on a basement find pedal steel out of Alaska that was a incredibly good price… Or so I thought... It seems like everything is here just needs a little bit of restoration. But I'm wondering if any of you can help me, identify the make and model of this particular pedal steel, I've been pouring over the internet and cannot seem to find a steel with a changer like this one.
Thanks in advance!

Reminds me a little of the changer on the late '60's Carvin pedal steel.

i'll say Wright Custom. it is missing the cover and the axle is divorced from the changer housing. first pic is a 1969 Carvin. second pic is my 1960 Wright changer.

i have often wondered if there was a connection between Wright and Carvin but was told absolutely not by an unimpeachable source. but you could be correct Donny.

I've never seen a pedal steel with such skinny cross shafts, it looks like one is even bent.

Re: Anyone ever seen a changer like this?
Thank you to everyone who posted, it looks like it's absolutely a 1964 Wright Custom.. I removed the fretboard to see if there was anything underneath, and in very faint marker was written "11/9/64 buck's guitar core" -although it's very faded, and the "b" in buck could easily be an "h" with a non visible "C" before it. for Chuck Wright.
this will help with the restoration!
