Not at the Texas show but my maverick arrived last week.

I played a Maverick II and absolutely loved it. Very smooth pedal action and sustain for days. With the multiple coil taps you could get everything from modern sound to that early 60s classic sho bud sound. Reminded me of those videos of Charleton with ET and the tone from the Night Life album. The highs just jumped right off the guitar. Pretty much ordered one on the spot

What multiple coil taps? I have multiple coil taps on mine? How do they work?

Bill, the one I played had what looked like a telecaster switch underneath that engaged the coil taps

Maverick II

I just checked with sho-bud. The "maverick" at the show with the split coil was a prototype and not currently available. It also wasn't a maverick II, someone just put that sticker on it. Mavericks do not currently come with split coils.
