Re: Pickup identification
Only way to tell is measure the DC resistance [ohms]. There were 3 models all look the same. If you have access to an ohmmeter, VOM etc.
605 around 16K ohms
705 around 19-20K ohms
805 aroune 26K ohms.

Re: Pickup identification
It can be a 605, 705, or 805 depending upon the dc ohms on a meter. All three look identical.
605-15K to 16K
705- 18K to 21K
805- 26K to 28K
If the black one has a metal casing and removable mounting plate it's a 705 after Bill Lawrence stopped making them and his former business partner obtained the rights to continue building them under the Bill Lawrence name. The dc ohms were similar to the original 805. Some opinions are they were less reliable, inferior quality and didn't sound as nice as the original chrome 705 built by Bill Lawrence.
If they have a plastic base plate molded with the pickup housing they are the current model being made and they are very good pickups. My preferred pickup for a number of years.

P.S. I posted at the same time as our good friend Jerry O. Sorry about that my friend.
