JayDee Maness
Listen to the Carpenter's "Make Believe It's The First Time." JayDee's magical steel makes this such a beautiful song!

good one Dennis

the steel is rather subtle but very nice.
I love the Carpenters but was unfamiliar with this one. the melody reminded me of You Needed Me at first, the Anne Murray hit written by Randy Goodrum
interesting, Karen also recorded a solo version and Bobby Vinton had a minor country hit with it a few years before the Carpenters

I always like the Carpenters tune "Top of the World" which had some nice pedal steel on it.
