Knee identification... Hardware store parts or?

Post by JB Hughes »

I have a Fender 2000 that the previous owner added a knee to, but obviously I don't have all of the parts as it's not hooked to anything. I am curious if this is some type of kit or knee from another PSG or is this something that has been adapted here? You can see where it's been moved a few times, the grub screws act as stops and there is one bent bar towards the back that is hanging down in the picture, I would assume that would be the part that would pull the cable... Anyway, I am sure I will have to make something to get it working, but I don't know what it is supposed to look like. Anyone help?

it's a vintage Singer sewing machine knee lifter assembly.
