Quilter Aviator Cub
Has anyone used the Quilter Aviator Cub for pedal steel? I ran into a really good deal for one. If so, have you tried the TT12 speaker in it? Thanks

Re: Quilter Aviator Cub
I use an Aviator Cub frequently. It's my favorite grab-and-go. The stock speaker works fine for me. I do not play C6, no super-low notes, and I don't play with very loud bands or hard-hitting drummers, but the Cub's volume seems more than adequate for most club situations. I use the Tweed input. Steel is typically a GFI or Carter, with 705 pickup.
The AC cord that came with my amp is the type with the blue locking IEC connector (that they use on many of their other products), but the chassis does not have the matching locking IEC socket, and I found that the blue cord connector would sometimes work loose. I replaced the cord with a normal non-locking IEC right-angle type, and have not had an issue since. (I emailed Quilter about the issue back then, and Pat Quilter himself responded!) My amp is an early one, bought new fairly soon after they came out, and they probably have addressed this minor issue since then.
I like the Cub's cover, with the wide back pocket. I pack one of those plastic folding step stools in the pocket to use as an amp stand. Very convenient!
