Square shaft bellcranks

Post by Kendell Scott »

Hey folks, got a couple project guitars I need to get finished up and I’m looking for some bell cranks to use with the 5/16 square cross shafts. I like the emmons 4 hole crank w/ swivel design, but they tend to be a little pricy. Never really shopped for bell cranks before, so thought I’d throw something up in here and see if anyone had any suggestions particular crank they preferred or a bundle laying around they wanted to get rid of. Thanks!

Hi Kendal if you have a design in mind I can probably make you some I don't do the Emmons cranks but we can probably come up with something else that will work for you.

Some other options, Emmons LeGrande cranks are 5/16", both the 4 hole and 14 hole style. Michael Yahl sells Carter Magnum cranks, which are basically the same as the Emmons 14 hole but slightly shorter, only 12 holes https://www.psgparts.com/shop/14-119p-p ... ategory=29. There's a guy on ebay, handle is "pairadocks", he has Derby 5/16" cranks. They are similar to Emmons 4 hole but have a double crank arm, they require a 1/4" barrel to clamp the pull rod https://www.ebay.com/itm/195950049226?i ... SwtMlk526o. There is also a guy here on the forum you can look up, Jeremy JT Young, he has a lot of NOS Derby parts and may have some as well.
