Are there any differences between Maverick HD and Maverick II

I'm curious if there is any difference between the Jackson Maverick HD and the Sho-bud Maverick II other than a name change?

Black. Like I like my coffee. You can’t go wrong with black. Fancy colors may not look good on stage and can hurt resale value if you pick a color others don’t like. My Mullen is wrapped black. Owner before me was a pro playing with a name act and the top dog didn’t think the original color looked good on stage so he wrapped it black

I play a Jackson Blackjack Custom that is black. I love black steels myself, and I'm a fan of the colors of the new Sho-Buds. I hope to try out one of the new Sho-Buds in 2026.
