Potential CraigsList Scam
There is a potential craiglist scam on Craigslist, so beware. Person selling a 2023 Mullen G2 D10 in Fort Collins for $2,300. Claims it was his father. I reached out to the person asking if they would ship to New York. They responded "Yes, I ship many instruments and it will be well packed." They provided no name in the email response.
I then said that I would take it but I would need their name, address and phone number and I would need to schedule a Facetime call to confirm they had the guitar in their possession. I also asked for the serial number.
And ..... I never heard from them again.
Red Flags:
1. Guitar price at half of what it is worth. This is a common scammer tactic. They hope you will get so greedy, you won't ask too many questions and will just jump on it.
2. Saying they ship many instruments and yet don't list it on reverb or research the actual worth of the instrument. Putting it only on craigslist is a red flag.
3. Providing no name or contact info in their response.
4. Going radio silent when request name , address, phone number and requiring a zoom or facetime call.
Be careful out there folks. A lot of scammers.

Yep Bill, I saw that ad also and contacted them last Wednesday, and haven't gotten a response. The ad is still up. I'm close enough to there to be able to check it out. Strange response you got from them and the whole thing recks, especially after the response you received. I'm wondering if anyone has seen the photos they posted before?
Thanks for the heads up.
Just curious, are you chopping at the bit for another steel and can't wait for the Shobud you ordered to arrive?

I was hoping to buy it to keep. Never can have too many steels in the house.
