The new Steel Guitar Half and Half is finally here!

Post by Tim Marcus »

The brand new updated Steel Guitar Half and Half is here!

I am offering a variety of speaker options such as my Alnico K120 (12 or 15 inch) my E120 based ceramic speaker (12 or 15 inch) and a Neo speaker (12 or 15 inch) made by Eminence

The new Half and Half has dual speaker outputs (no more matching speaker impedance) and a studio grade XLR direct output with level control. The amplifier has the time tested Half and Half all tube front end with tube preamp, tube EQ and tube spring reverb.

I added a new Output control to allow for more combinations between preamp settings. You can set the midrange and volume controls excatly how you want them and use the transparent output control to raise and lower the overall power level.

I think this is the best steel guitar amplifier I can possibly make. I have had 10 years of customer feedback about what features are important, and with the JBL speaker in there the amp has a tone that is both classic and massive.

So great to have a guy who plays our instrument and designs and manufactures amplifiers specifically engineered for our instrument. We are so lucky to have him in our community.

I love my half and half. Great, reliable product!

A lot of great features here. I’m very interested. Will the 12” combo be smaller in size?

I had one of your early day Half&Half amps. It was an awesome amp. Got rid of it for some reason. I never could get
it dialed in too suit my ears. The weight was wonderful, so much better on my back.
So the only question I have about this new model is how much does it weigh? Thanks, J.R. Rose

Hey JR - the weight depends on which speaker you choose. The specs are on my website
