I Know Who Holds Tomorrow w/Jazzy Track

I’ve done this song before, but acappella, and wanted to make a Jazzy Track for it and redo it. I tried to play some outside stuff, whatever that means so pretty sure I failed in that endeavor, yet tried to find some things I found interesting. Maybe not fully in accordance to this Old Gospel Song, but you be the judge.

No complaints here, Dale! I don’t know this tune, but you swung it like it was always meant to be swung that way. The chord voicings sound very natural with the melody, and I second what Doug said about your tone. Your usual cool video work, too.

Thank you Doug ... I used a 705 on this instead of the Single Coil I'd been using. The single coil sounds great live, but I was having a little trouble with how it recorded, and then I had Bruce Bouton and Jody Cameron and some others tell me their experience was similar.

I always like the tone of this guitar "in the room" when playing, but haven't been as fond of how the Single Coils I'd been using were recording. I used the 705 on this and will most likely use a 710 on E9th, for whatever comes next.

Many of us in the UK got into PSG in the late 60s & 70s and were introduced in the main to E9th some in Emmons and many in Day setup. What you picked up from the shop was what you played (for years) as you knew nothing else and there was little or no instruction available. C6th was and has been played by very few over here, admired but few attempted!

If ever there was a reason to have a go on the back neck this video of yours has made it so.

I and many of us here are ‘true country.‘ Loved country and were desperate to play what we heard on the albums, often we have had a good go but this ‘latest edition’ from you has crossed the boundaries and while it has a Jazzy Feel as you say it is still country and Gospel by Birth (what could be better.)

I for one will have to get the M3 out the case as a result. Outstanding to say the least!

Bob, thats as compliment I won't soon forget. Thank you so much. I've been inspired by so many, so its nice to hear that maybe I inspired someone as well. I'd certainly encourage you to pull out that M3 and take it for a spin. I didn't start digging into to C6th till after I turned 60, so am confident that even "later" in life you can still learn and find enjoyment in something new like C6th.
