Post by Wade Black »

3Bender will be at Fretboard Summit in Chicago Aug 21-23. We hope you stop by the booth and say Hello!

In addition to our 3Benders, we will have a few special items on display:
- A duplicate of Kenny Vaughan’s 3Bender. Pine body, slabboard maple neck with Fender vintage noiseless pickups.
- Our new Full B / Full G Bender with On/Off switch for B and G,
- A new bender product that can be retrofitted to a guitar without drilling any new holes. Stay tuned for more info soon.
- Here is a new body style that we are introducing:

I love the industrial aesthetic of the whole guitar.

Apologies if it's off topic, but did you also make the thumbwheel intonation adjusters for the mastery bridge saddles? That is a really neat feature!

Thanks Max. My past life was spent in an industrial environment. We sold electric motors, VFDs, sheaves, gearboxes, etc. from 1/10th hp up to about 10,000 hp. It was fun. The industrial look is a combo of functional, safety factor in design, and being influenced by some talented industrial designers along the way. I am, of course, also a big fan of Leo Fender, Paul Bigsby, Gene Parsons and Bob Stafford.

I purchase those 4-40 thumb screws from McMaster-Carr. Locking the bridge saddles on a guitar with a vibrato or a bender is a definite improvement. The saddles are locked in place for tuning stability and I think it adds some power/attack to the front end of the picked note or chord. YMMV. The 4-40 thumb screws only fit the Mastery bridge though. For standard bridges with 6-32 thread, I custom make a different style of thumb nut.

Mentioned above and now released!

The New SteelMaster Offset Palm Bender

3Bender collaborated with Shelby Pollard at BlackBobbin in Chicago to bring wider potential to mechanical string bending. We hope to extend the family of string bending not only to include Offset style guitar players but to include a large family of musical genres.
