settings for a Peavey Session 115 Combo Amp
Greetings, I have been using a Twin Reverb exclusively for the last 50 years and find the settings I like quite simple. I however, just purchased a Peavey Session 115 Combo amp and am scratching my head with all the many additional setting adjustments on the front panel. I am running thru a Sarno Black box. Do any of you have this amp and could recommend a good across the panel setting adjustment to start with, for a GFI double 10 keyless and/or a Sho Bud Pro ll. Thanks in advance.

My settings. I don’t think you need the Black Box with this amp.

Those work well with a 705 pup. They will get you started. I love the Session 115. You don’t need anything else. All built in. Sad that they never “took off”. They are a great amp.

Well, they're coming back this summer. I don't think they're out yet.
The earlier Session 115 came out about 10 yrs. ago somewhere around 2015 and no, they didn't do too well. I don't know why. Some people were grumbling about the cost, go figure, but it was right up there in line with other high powered amplifiers.
I think players were just spoiled by Peavey's tradition of building high class amplifiers at an economical cost.
Anyway, here's hoping the new edition along with the new Session 112 will do better.
I'm not up to date on how the electronics compare with the earlier ones, but they do have a new design loudspeaker for both amps. Built, I believe, by Celestion. Stay tuned.

I can say the new Peaveys I heard at Oklahoma were gorgeous. Jack Phillips was using the new Peavey Session prototype 115 and the fiddle player used the new 112 model. Both were awesome and filled the room with beautiful tone. Some were used by a few other players in Texas at the Jamboree. Peavey has regained that sweet tone we love.

I guess technically the new one is called the Nashville Session 115 to separate it from the earier ones and the earlier Nashville series. Always a lot of confusion with these Peavey steel amp badges.
I don't know if they're ever gonna get to the outlets though. Seems they were announced way too early and people are losing interest. JMO.
