Bobby was an early player of Franklin guitars. Early 1980s. The 1980 Honky Cat LP cover art shows him on a Franklin.

Terrific and innovative player. The Honky Cat LP was a collection of pop songs of the era. Beautifully and tastefully executed. I still listen to it regularly.

Bobby Black is scheduled to be on two of these three Lost Planet Airmen reunion shows later this month, the Novato, CA show on Fri. 6/28 and Berkeley, CA on Sat. 6/29/2024. By the way, Bobby turned 90 this year! Awesome!
