Ronstadt Revue's live album!

Post by Roger Rettig »

I was expecting this live CD to be good - the caliber of the musicians involved would promise no less - but it really is exceptional! It's already on rotation in my car and is still full of surprises. Gesenia Gerena is a great singer who does full justice to Ms. Ronstadt's legacy but singling anybody out is unfair. These guys are all virtuoso players! Listen to Jim Cohen's nice steel solo on 'I've Got a Crush on You', and the piano part on 'Someone to Lay Down.....' blew me away.
If you have even the slightest regard for the music of this genre, you couldn't do better than treat yourself to this beautifully produced album.

(Jim also channels Dan Dugmore to great effect! :) )

I guess I'm a bit late to the party!! :)

Has this album already been acknowledged here on the Forum?

Bumping anyway: Jimbeaux doesn't only play nicely, I've just noticed that he did the mixing.

Is there no end to his.....(etc., etc.)?

Thanks for the shout-out, Roger! I'm glad you're enjoying the album. We have a studio album coming along soon too that will have both John Beland and Dan Dugmore on it as well.

Cheers,
Jim
