Still, it reminds me as much of Edgar Bergen with Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd as anything.
Alvino was undoubtedly the first steel guitar player I ever heard. My dad used to see him on in SoCal when he was training at Camp Pendleton during WWII. He had a bunch of his records around when I was growing up.
