Wayne Gailey did play for Kenny Vernon for about 10 years and recorded with him some.
I will ask Kenny but I don't Pete Drake played with him on sessions. I know LLoyd did or at least I think so. Been friends with Kenny for 57 years and just talked with him today. One of my very favorite persons and singers.

"Steppin'stone" is such a good song. I hadn't heard this version before. The one I'm familiar with is this one by the one and only Keith Whitley when he fronted with JD Crowe and the New South. I think it has relevance here as the steel is provided by none other than Doug Jernigan. A very tasteful rendition.
