I was reading about my alma matre Texas Tech's 'Carol of Lights' last night in Lubbock and was glad to see a bunch of Tech grads and former students playing live at the annual event for 20 plus thousand people.
The events lights of the main part of campus with 20K lights, choirs and speeches, and this starts our centennial celebration.
Amoung the bands were the Maines Brothers of which Lloyd is a member.
So I was checking things out on youtube and came across this great video of Lloyd playing with the Joe Ely Band in Austin on Austin City Limits in 1979.
It shows the incredible playing of the bamd and particularly Lloyd and my old friend Jesse Taylor on guitar.
Its a but rough video wish but is work the 31 minutes to watch one of my favorite Steel Players.
