Joaquin Murphey - Tho' I Tried break

Post by Andy Brown »

Having a go at this Joaquin Murphey break. It's a great little break, and turned on a few lightbulbs in regards to navigating the C6 neck.

Excellent! Do you do your own transcribing, or is that from another source?

Good one! I bet that one took some seat time to pull out!

Very nice!

I don't know, but I imagine Joaquin had the G on the 1st string. Then it would lay 'under the fingers'.

Nice tone, too. I have a Williams coming so that's encouraging. :)

Thanks all!

Jim, I do all my own transcribing.

Roger, I was thinking the same while working on this. Especially for that opening line.
