and, if I remember correctly......
Sid played steel via a flat guitar pick pinched between his thumb and index finger,
and finger picks on his middle and ring fingers.

He loved that flat pick for sure.he was an out of the box steeler for certain. Man did he sound good!

Sid was a top notch picker on guitar and steel. I discovered him late in the game and wished I had more chances to collect his work.
