Frenchy Burke with Buddy Emmons

Post by Roy Carroll »

This is a cool video, the BG "E" is coating through his part of the lead, looks like Phil Baugh was struggling a little.
Notice Buddy played it all in one position! Good stuff!

I have seen this before and is worth watching again. Look at the Big E smile while playing. There was no one and will never be no one like Buddy Emmons.

When I was a kid growing up in Walla Walla WA, our small AM Country station was playing this all the time... Seems there was another they played with Buddy and Frenchy
but would have to hear it to recognize it.

Maybe this one. https://youtu.be/4QsQMI6068I. I think it was released 1974 or so. I remember the night I first heard it on the AM car radio. I was driving my dad’s relatively new 1973 Chrysler. Robbie Springfield was on the record.

Don’t have a link but I think the other song was his version of “Colinda”
Hot picking on steel, guitar, and of course fiddle.
