Gram Parsons/Kiss the Children

Post by Chris Tarrow »

Anybody figured out the little steel break at 1:50? He plays a great ascending lick that I'm trying to figure out, I think this is the first half:

Then it jumps up to 12 with A and B pedals down but I can't figure out the back half of the lick.

Hi, Chris. Try hitting these fret positions for the second half of the lick.

In each position, you'll be bouncing back and forth between strings 3 & 4 hit together, then the thumb on 5, then back to 3&4.

Then rinse and repeat that picking sequence on the next fret position, on up the neck:

Fret 12, AB

Fret 14, A-pedal

Fret 15, A-pedal

Fret 17 (no pedals)

Fret 17, AB
