Just checking before I duplicate a bunch of previous efforts: Has anyone made (or tried to make) a deeply interlinked wiki for Pedal Steel tunings, copedents, pulls, and players?
I'm looking over resources for Pedal Steel on the web, mostly this forum and BoB's website, and thought it would be nice to make a page that lays out tunings, common pulls and their variations, the music theory implications, and links/lists of songs that use them and players who used them and how they did so.The copedents part of BoB's page has been super useful (and much of the info on a theoretical copedent wiki would likely have its genesis there, I promise to include links), but I'd like to answer something like "who has used a 4-8 half step lower pedal in a E7/D7/U12 tuning, on which levers/pedals, and what chords does that give me with other common pedals?" without looking at a dozen copedents, playing the chord-builder game in my head, and eventually bugging the forum. The goal is to not duplicate wikipedia in terms of biography, just keep the focus on tunings and such.
1: Has anyone done this already and I'm way behind?
2: If no one has, would anyone want to help out if I manage the backend and hosting? (Once I get it rolling of course)
