Four - Cocktail Steel

Post by Rose Sinclair »

Hi Formites - Here's another clip from my cocktail steel combo. We play on Sundays at a little roadhouse in South Austin. Steel guitar, vibraphone, piano, bass, drums. Four by Miles Davis. Thanks for listening! :D :D :D

I like very much what Rose is doing on this clip but in order to cut over the band her tone should be "brighter" ..just my opinion? Rose is a credit to our instrument.

My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

Hey thanks y'all - appreciate the kind words and encouragement! Yes, Roy, I probably could brighten my tone a bit to cut through the band, though I do love a warm, fat, jazzy tone. I'll probably be chasing THE TONE for the rest of my life, but hey, that's what we do, right? LOL! Keep on pickin! :D
