That Girl Who Waits On Tables at Memory Care Unit

A few days ago I was invited to play for residents at a Memory Care Unit. Normally I would take a full band but it hard to get people together especially during working hours. I played with rhythm tracks for over an hour. I rushed some licks on the 2nd verse and missed a couple as well. This is a Ronnie Milsap song and listen to Tommy White play it on YouTube. Tommy White plays it the way it should be played.

Thank you Larry. Many of them have playable melodies.

Paul, you are a pleasure to listen to. I cant get over the sound quality you're getting in that room. Are you recording direct into a device? I've never thought of bringing an extra amp for backing tracks only. Very nice!

Thank you Gil. I was surprised at the acoustics in that room as well. I run backing tracks through one amp and my steel through a different amp. I have no PA system to run through. I was so happy with the sound and quality I am going back next week for another round. Of course they will be different songs I play that day. I was surprised they let me video and sure am thankful they did.

Paul I am also surprised at how well this comes across in a large room. It's pure gold and blends well with the tracks. You have to be bringing joy to some lonely folks that attend. Thanks again for sharing with us.

Thank you Larry. I think that I found a great place to play and record. I know those residents enjoy the music. One lady is a retired school music teacher and she comments on every song when I am finished.
