Salvation Wings (Dom Franco pedal steel guitar)

Post by Dom Franco »

Here is a live recording from the Anaheim Convention center in 1977. I sat in with the Daniel Amos Band in concert. I was playing my old Fender 2000 pedal steel guitar... (boy I miss that sweet thing!)

Cool, Dom! I can’t imagine that song without your steel licks. Just perfect.

I know you’re busy these days with your 13 string lap steel, but do you ever play any psg?

Hello Mike;
Yes I play my pedal steel quite often in the studio. I have been colaborating remotely with many musicians across several states (Texas, California, Colorado etc.) They send me basic tracks and I sync up pedal steel, dobro, or lap steel... then they finish the songs with vocals and all the other overdubs. It's fun but not as much as playing with a live band!

Happily Married Man (Another live song from the concert)

Here is another song from that same live concert. It is obvious the we did not rehearse very much before hand, but it was a lot of fun and ***LIVE***

I was playing my Fender 2000, and I played some ok licks without knowing the exact arrangement...
