Fessenden U-12 Questions

Post by Rex Myers »

I just recently bought this Fessenden. But the seller didn't offer much beyound the physical description, and there are no numbers on it that I can see. I sent pictures to Jerry but he does not recall this particular guitar he puts it around 10 or 15 years old its very clean and in very good shape! Plays like butter and sustains for days.
I am just curious to find out the history so if anybody recognises this guitar please don't hesitate to reply
Thanks! Rex Myers

Fessenden U-12 Questions

Was trying to get a history on this guitar and was able to connect with the Fellow I bought from I now know more than I did.
This Fessenden came from Anoka, Minnesota I guess I am the 3rd owner it started life as an Ext E9 and was changed to a universal.Jeff Newman Copedent. The pedal rods were replaced with 1" longer rods Its a very nice guitar! I realize not every Pedal Steel guitar gets circulated and passed around like some of them do here the Forum which I think is pretty cool. but I thought I would take a chance that someone might recogise this steel guitar. Maybe I went about it the wrong way at anyrate I wish everyone well on the forum thanks for allowing me to be apart of the Pedal Steel guitar Family :D.

I've got a lacquer D10 8x8.

Pro's:gorgeous guitar, excellent pro tone and sustain, great tuning stability, solid mechanics

In total - its my main practice and recording rig. Too nice to gig with.

BTW - It doesn't look like your split tail endblock is fitted with split tuning screws. Maybe Jerry can fabricate a new endblock for you. Adds some convenience if you have splits on your coped.
