Why? Because I like the song. My wife does not understand.

Thanks for making my day a better one!

Now, let's hear the theme from The Jetsons!

Lee,
I was 9 years old in 1960 when The Flintstones debuted, probably the ideal age for the show, and watched it often. When The Jetsons came on two years later, it never really clicked with me for some reason, and I really didn't watch it much. When I read your post I couldn't hear the theme song in my head at all. I just listened to it, and it is pretty cool. You may have sparked a project for me.

I was born in December of 1953. I remember the whole family getting together to watch the show every week. A primetime cartoon! It was many years later that I read about the show being patterned, a bit, after The Honeymooners. Apparently, Jackie Gleason wasn't too happy.

I enjoyed The Jetsons; but, the rest of the family found something else to do when it came on.

Such good memories!

Lee,
I guess this is topic drift, but just wondering if you are native to the Valley. I lived in Corpus Christi for a year (1977) and met my wife there. She grew up in Robstown just outside of Corpus. Never did visit the Valley though.

I am saying that there are a lot of songs you can quote the flinstones theme in your solos. Including I Got Rhythm. Literally every song based on the Rhythm Changes.

Being born in 1962, the Flintstones, Jetson's, Munsters, Etc. were standard issue to all of us but they were at that point reruns, but we didn't know that at the time. They are all deeply ingrained in m=y musical memory, really enjoyed that!
