Neil Flanz Red Belly Emmons

Post by Charlie Hansen »

Here's a video from many years ago that features Gord Matthews on the Emmons Red Belly that was made for Neil Flanz. I believe that Gord bought it from Neil. Gord was a friend of mine that passed away a number of years ago.
The quality of the video is terrible but the steel is heard quite well.

Hi Charlie

Looks like your buddy Gord Matthews might be playing thru a Standel amp.

An Emmons PP coupled with a Standel amp were the "go-to package" back then.

Thanks for posting

Yes, Gord used a Standel as well as a black face Fender Twin.
