Jingle Bells - Bluegrass

Post by Ashley D\'Silva »

I Hope this is not the Incorrect place for this query!!

About 45 years ago while living in London I heard a "BLUEGRASS" version of Jingle Bells on the Radio.
This superb version had Pedal Steel and Dobro with a traditional Bluegrass sound.
I would love to know if such a record still exists and who the Artists/Band might be. The rendition was brilliant and so much in joyful tradition.

I have got to say I have been a member and extremely avid and at least Once A Day visitor to this INCREDIBLE FORUM for at least the past 15 years and, in all that time, there has NOT BEEN ONE QUESTION that has not received a POSITIVE ANSWER...So come on my friends....Who were the Band?

A grateful THANKS to the one person that provides me with an Positive answer...
Can anyone please assist?

Thanks a giant bundle. for your help!

Regards

Ashley

Mr Justice, I thank you sincerely for your response however this is not the recording I refer to above. The one I recall had a whole lot of Banjo & Dobro as well.

Thanks so much for your kind efforts Sir.

Regards

Maybe something by the Nashville pickers, or super pickers. I have a few of those where they tackle a certain artist or style. Sorry I don't have any Christmas ones. This isn't what you want but some cool steel and Chet style guitar.

Hey, you guys are SUPER... So close and so beautiful but.. not quite there. Looking for the one with Banjo, Fiddle, Dobro AND Pedal Steel..all in the same tune.

Thanks so much Larry for your efforts.

For me, a steel fan for 60 years, player for 20 years and a TRUE country lover ALL my life this has been the best forum, with the best members ever.

Thanks guys...

Ashley, I thought the Nashville Superpickers was a good bet. They did that sort of thing but after a listen I knew it wasn't them. I searched for over an hour and never found a track that fit. I will continue to dig because it's got me curious.

Thanks Larry,

I wait and look forward to any success from your efforts. In the meantime...I too will continue looking as I have for the past 40 odd years.

Thanks again my friends
