Pedal 6

Post by Gary Peters »

Hi

As part of an ongoing Steel Solos album I'm working on, I videoed the recording of track 5 today. The idea was to explore some of the possibilities of playing with pedal 6 depressed throughout. Might as well sell the volume pedal!

Enjoy!

Truly excellent. What's pedal 6 in your set up?

Pedal 6

Post by Gary Peters »

To clarify: in this improv I was experimenting with pedal 6 depressed throughout, using the 3 E9 pedals (particularly pedal A) to get a minor chord with an added flattened 2nd. In this case on fret 6 to give a G Minor with flattened 2nd. For the record, at no point did I flatten the E strings with the RKLR as would be the case if I was going for a classic B6 vibe.

Thanks for listening...and sorry it went on for so long, not sure how that happened as I usually F*** everything up long before 5 mins. has elapsed!!
