Excellent solo by Rusty. From what I can see, he picks the entire solo with his thumb!

Yeah back in 1990; I played in a band that opened many shows for Vince and Rusty was always with them....and yes, they did a lot of Rock&Roll songs just like this one; but they also did a few country songs. I flip my Bar in the air even now today from seeing Rusty do that back in 1990...he was an extreme "ShowMan" in every way. RIP Rusty; you were such an inspiration to many many upcoming steel players, like myself.

I also played on a couple of shows (in Canada), opening up for Vince around 1990.
First time he was solo, the next time he brought a band with him, which included Rusty on pedal steel and Willie Weeks on bass, iirc.
Vince even sat in with us on the first visit.
It was a fantastic experience for me (as a rookie steeler) and my band mates!
Very friendly and super talented, they showed us how it’s done!
