I didn’t watch the Super Bowl but while browsing YouTube a few minutes ago, an ad started playing with such a cinematic quality that I could only assume is part of a Super Bowl ad campaign.

It’s Bruce Springsteen starring and narrating while a backing track of ambient pedal steel plays.

It’s become a talk piece on the web for one reason or another as anything in the duration of the super bowl presentation always is... but let’s not try to poke the bear here.

Did you expect ambient pedal steel to be a part of tonight’s big production?

Yeah Kevin I thought the Vince Lombardi impersonator was the best, but then again, I remember him well. He walked that walk and talked that talk and all of his players knew it.

Oh well. Each to his own.
