John,
As a point of interest, that song is based on a verse in the Bible. In Jeremiah 12:9 there is mention of the "Speckled Bird".
I also have that song tabbed out the the melody is the basis for a couple of old country songs: "Wild Side Of Life" and "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky-Tonk Angels." :D

The same was done with "Release Me".
If I'm not mistaken, the song was originally called:
"Please Release Me From My Sins:. :D
