So sorry to hear this. I used to see him every day when he worked at the Foundry, in Duncan, OK. He and his family were regular customers at my sister-in-law's restaurant.

He will be missed.

So sad. My day today was meeting with the funeral home, then picking out a grave site at the cemetery, and now this. Rest In Peace Joe. Heaven is filling up.

A truly exceptional singer. He had chops and great tone.

Barry Blackwood, 'Ships That Don't Come In' is one of my favourite recordings by anybody; it's a fine song, too.

Joe did a few too many 'good ole boy' songs for my taste but I have his entire catalog nonetheless. A voice of rare quality.

RIP, Joe Diffie, and my sympathies to his family. There must be a good band that no longer has a gig, too. :(

I have to agree that "Ships That Don't Come In" is one of the greats. Great song, great singer, great recording. So sorry that Joe has left us.

It's suddenly struck me that, in too short a space of time, we've lost two of country music's truly exceptional vocalists: Daryle Singletary and now Joe Diffie.

The loss of them both represents a major loss to music.
