Jerry Barnard, Wilburton, Oklahoma

Post by J R Rose »

Just got word that my long time friend and picking buddy has died, Jerry Barnard from Wilburton, Ok. He was just here at my place last weekend and we picked all afternoon. Played a Tele and sang. Was a very good picker. He was 68 and was going to retire at the end of this month after 33 plus years at the Wilburton Water Plant. I will miss him very much. We picked every week at least. He and his wife Donna were good Christian people who had worked hard all their life. Please say some prayers for Donna and his children. J.R. Rose

Prayers and sympathies to his family and your loss of a friend. That is sure tough to deal with.

Thanks all, It is still really tough. He was supposed to be here tomorrow to pick and grin. He was really a great Christian guy that always listen and had the right answer to make you feel better. Never ever tooted his horn. A very Gracious Man. He knew the Bible and could recite scriptures better than anyone I have ever knew. I will miss him for a long, long time. J.R. Rose
