My Dear Friend Joedy Walters

Post by Ron Pruter »

I was informed yesterday that my steel guitar buddy Joedy Walters passed away last Thanksgiving at about 84 years old. For a least 12 years, Joedy and I would always meet up at the SWSGA conventions every year. Joedy was always a very positive individual. Always up and saying how everything was great.
I first met Joedy when he came into my guitar repair shop and started talking steel. He later gave me his Sho-Bud Professional steel when he realized it was too much for him. I was deeply touched. No-one has ever given me such a cool gift. I kind of had to fight back tears that day. Obviously he was a very generous man and he really loved the steel.
I'm looking forward to seeing him again. He knew the Lord and is now with him. I miss him and will miss him. Ron
