Just read where Eddie has died at age 70. He was quite an entertainer. Condolences to his family and friends.

Godspeed Eddie Mahoney!

Thanks for filling the void way back when, coming out of the onslaught of disco, to infuse new blood into rock!

The Money Man ! The Rock n Roll Cop ! He had an incredible comeback record with “Take Me Home Tonight” w/ Roni Spector. Saw him twice and really entertained the crowd. He’ll be missed for sure. In these times of disposable and indistinguishable singers, he stood out in a good way. He never went by a formula, and always put forth solid songs. Maybe now he can get some water 👍

Sad...heard the news this morning.
I was fortunate to have played with him January - March 1978, all of it on the road.
He was a real deal rocker...

Honest rock and roll from working-class Long Island. He was all about it. RIP Eddie.

RIP Eddie,

I met him backstage at a concert in Lubbock Tx. In 83, he was walking out to the Stage and was with this girl, and he flings his tambourine about 30 ft. Straight up in the air and without even looking just grabs it as it returns to him. Quite amazing guy.
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.
