biab 2010 Running on Win 10

Post by Howard Parker »

Haven't used biab in years but got 2010 running on Win 10. I'm unable to render midi files to audio because (as I understand) Roland's VSC-Dxi won't run in a 64 bit environment.

My work around is to export the midi into Cubase. Works fine except you lose all of the "real" instrument enhancements.

Anyone have a "free" alternative to the Roland synth? Any other solution.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if this will work on BIAB 2010, but it will in 2011. Try saving each instrument to an individual wave file and then import them into Cubase if Cubase will accept wave files.

That's the problem. I could not render ANY instrument midi file to a WAV file.

I bit the bullet and bought the Coyote "Forte DXi" plugin that comes with 2011 and later. The plugin supports Win 10 64 bits.

It worked as advertised.

Sometimes you just have to pay the piper I suppose.

Thanks!!

Do a search for "coolsoft" and check that one out.

I might be a beginner now, but someday I'm gonna steel the show.
