Sad news today for the steel guitar community. Long time player/builder Harold Saunders left us last night. Harold worked for Marlen Guitars and Emmons Guitar Company. He was a great player and a great friend. He will be missed. RIP Harold.
A good guy, smart. He came up with a great design for adjusting the up lever. Proud to enjoy his company for many years. Prayers and comfort to his family.

Sad news, indeed. Harold rewound a couple of Emmons pickups for me a few years ago. I didn't meet him in person but we spoke on the phone a few times and he was very knowledgeable and a nice guy. My condolences to the family.
What Doug Beaumier said. Harold wound several pickups for me, one of which I gave to Buddy to put in the Blade. Harold was surprised and so very pleased that one of his pickups was being used by Big E.
Sweeney told me Harold was in a nursing home now, and I'm saddened to hear of his passing.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?
Very sad news. Harold did some pickup work for me, called me often and treated me like an old friend from day one. He and Ms Leatha even dropped by our home once while on a Florida visit. He was a very kind and knowledgeable friend.
I’ll miss you friend.
