i visited Fred at his home a couple times. Very nice gentlemen and we shared stories of when we were both in law enforcement. I was going to call him last week but got busy. I then thought if I go to the Waterloo IA show this weekend I'll stop & see him. I happened to see this on the forum first. Shocked, but knew his health was fraile. Till we meet again old friend!

Missing you so much

Post by Billy Phelps »

Fred was a dear friend and I miss getting the phone calls from him, asking me to record a track for him to play ( The Waltz Of The Angels was my favorite ). We would talk for about an hour about his wife, life and steel guitars.
I miss you and my prayers go out for you and your family and friends.
RIP
