Very sorry to hear. He was a very decent guy with impeccable grammar. Boy, did he ever dislike Rock and Roll, though!

He suffered through a house fire a few years ago and while I don't know the details, it was a very difficult time. Rest easy, my friend.

I also enjoyed Richard's insightful posts. But what impressed me most was how he closed his entries with "Respectfully," starting around 2009. Clearly he understood that online discussions could lead to disagreements, bad feelings, etc and he wanted no part of that. A lesson in civility to us all. RIP, Richard.

I too enjoyed his posts, may he rest in peace, and it was a pleasure to be on the forum with him.
Regards, Craig

I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet.

OMG - this is really bad news. I knew Richard. I met him in Nashville about 8 years ago, and he introduced me to Buck Reid. Richard was very interested in pedal steel construction and manufacture. He always had something interesting to say on the various forums that he was a member of. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
